おかげさまで私めがレジデントを務めさせて頂いております毎週火曜日BX CAFEで開催の「ROYAL FLUSH」がいよいよ４周年を迎えます。
ELI ESCOBAR、COSMO BAKERに続き、今年もNYから凄腕DJを招集しました。
日本での知名度は低いかもしれませんが、現地の奴に聞くと今最もイケてるDJのうちの一人として名前が挙がります。
先日来日していたDA BEATMINERZのEVIL DEEとも親交が深いようで、アテンドしていた沼田さんの話によると、EVIL DEE曰く「GOOD CHOICEだ。」と太鼓判を押していたそうです。
OLD SCHOOLはもちろんのこと、新譜もののMIXが最高です。
そしてバトルDJあがりとのことでスクラッチもキレてます。

DJ GETLIVE! "BIOGRAPHY"
Queens出身のDJ GETLIVE!は、1999年よりそのキャリアをスタートさせた。若干16歳にしてクラブに忍び込んではDJプレイをし、全世界のクラブでフロアをロックする事を夢見ていた少年の現在は、パーティーロッカー、クラウドコントローラーと名付けられるほどにまでなった。
巧みなターンテーブルスキルとマイクを使ったパフォーマンスで、エネルギッシュなDJスタイルを確立し、どのようなクラウドでも一晩中踊らせる事が出来るDJとして評判になっていった。ソウルミュージックから80年代のポップミュージックまで、HOUSE、HIPHOP、R&B等、彼の幅広い音楽知識をもてば様々なタイプのクラウドでも満足させる事が出来るDJの一人である。
Red Bull Thre3StyleのNYチャンピオン（2011年）でもあるDJ GETLIVE!は、何枚ものMIXCDをHOMEBASEやMIDNIGHT ROCKERS EXPRESSといったレーベルからリリースしたり、BonnarooやSXSW等の大型フェスティバルでのDJ、NasやDamian Marley、Dwight Freeney、Jim Jones、Busta Rhymes、Rick Ross、Marshall Faulk、Darryl Strawberry、Peyton Manning、Michael JordanといったセレブパーティーのDJブースでも彼の姿を見つける事が出来る。また、Nike、Royal Caribbean、H&M、Mountain Dew、Hennessey、Stoli Vodka、Black Scale、10 Deep、Diamond Supplyといった企業やストリートファッションブランドも彼のクライアントの一つである。
最近では、NYのプレミア・クラブの一つ、Taj LoungeでのレジデントDJを毎週土曜日勤める他、地元NYを中心に活動し、これからブレイクするであろうインディペンデントなアーティストを支援するブランド、F*CK WHAT YOU HEARDに参加。またTropical Bassをテーマにし、自身もブランドでもあり、長年NYの様々なクラブで開催されているBLACK SOFRITOというパーティーにも参加し、金曜日にはNYのダウンタウンにあるTammany HallでGOOD FRIDAYSを開催している。
まだまだ進化し続けるDJ GETLIVE!の初来日。常に五感を研ぎ澄ましている彼のプレイは想像を超したものになるに違いない。

Born and Raised in Queens, NY, DJ GETLIVE has been commanding the turntables all over NYC since 1999. From sneaking into clubs just to be able to dj since he was 16 years old to being able to rock clubs all over the country, DJ GETLIVE has earned his reputation as a Party Rocker and Crowd Motivator.
With a very energetic style, which includes his eclectic song selection, turntablist skills, and mic presence, he has built a reputation of being able to control any crowd throughout a night. His range of music from Soul to Pop to 80s, House, Hip Hop, R&B, and everything in between enables him to satisfy any type of crowd with every type of music.
His resume includes 2011 Red Bull Thre3Style NY and East Coast titles, a number of “creatively themed” mixtapes with his partnering brands, HOMEBASE and the MIDNIGHT ROCKERS EXPRESS, Bonnaroo in 2008, London and Switzerland in 2009, SXSW in 08 and 09, as well as dj-ing for the numerous A-list attendees such as Nas, Damian Marley, Dwight Freeney, Jim Jones, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Marshall Faulk, Darryl Strawberry, Peyton Manning, and Michael Jordan, and working for numerous corporate clients such as Nike, Royal Caribbean, H&M, Mountain Dew, Hennessey, and Stoli Vodka, and streetwear brands, such as Black Scale, 10 Deep, and Diamond Supply.
Currently, he is the resident dj of the music brand HOMEBASE, and has been the resident dj of Taj Lounge, one of NYC’s premier clubs, where he is going on his fifth straight year, holding down the turntables every Saturday Night. He was a feature guest on Brooklyn Bodega’s 2011 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival and Salute the DJ Showcase. He is a partner in creating F*CK WHAT YOU HEARD, a NY based cultural brand, providing a platform to break indie artists, the BLACK SOFRITO party, a tropical bass themed night, which has branded itself, being able to reside in different clubs in NYC, and lastly the GOOD FRIDAYS party which was held at Tammany Hall on Friday Nights in Downtown NYC. And this is only the beginning for this rising NYC sensation.
